Some rules to be respected
Fishing must not take place within 15 metres of the shellfish concessions.
It is important to respect the area: stay away from protected species and make sure that the area is not closed to fishing.
The size of the shellfish
Finally, you have to fish for the right size shells:
- The shells : 3 cm minimum
- Clams: 4 cm minimum
- The prairies: 4.3 cm minimum
- The Venus: 2.8 cm minimum
- Moulds: 4 cm minimum
(No more than 3 kg each)
- Hollow oysters: at least 5 cm deep
- Flat oysters: at least 6 cm long
