A story of tides
The tides are to be expected! However, few people have seen them coming. In 2009, a group of people from the Champel region decided to organise a musical event on the cliffs of Champeaux in the Manche.
Jazz concerts are played every month from April to July under the name "Jazz Leaks".
The following year, victim of its success, this event was transformed into the "Jazz en Baie" festival during 8 days in August from Avranches to Granville.
Little by little, the human tides led the association to become more professional. For the 10th edition, in 2019, the organisation gives a boost to the festival and makes it evolve once again towards current music.
The name changes: the Grandes Marées festival is born in 2020.
The eclectic and electric programme of the 2023 edition
In 2023, the festival will take place in Jullouville, "Jullou" for the natives, over a beautiful week at the end of July. More than 20,000 festival-goers are expected to attend to applaud exceptional artists:

The festival is committed to controlling its ecological footprint and moving towards a zero waste event. The values of ecology, solidarity and sharing are important to this Norman association.
Staying in Saint-Jean-Le-Thomas during the festival
